Richard Sherman helps out a young patient who lost her ‘Shermie’ doll
Seattle Seahawks corner Richard Sherman helps a patient in Tacoma who lost her 'Shermie' doll that helped her through her treatments.
Seattle Seahawks corner Richard Sherman is not only one of the finest at providing the best passing coverage, but he also covers those in dire need of assistance.
A young patient named, Ellie, at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma, Wash., lost her favorite Sherman doll named ‘Shermie.’ She was distressed because she used it to help her through her treatments.
Mary Bridge decided to reach out to the Seahawks and Sherman for assistance.
Where is she and how can I help?

Ellie was full of glee the moment she saw Sherman – who did not take long to respond to the call.
When @RSherman_25 found out Ellie lost her beloved Shermie doll, he drove all the way to Tacoma to make her smile. #Seahawks pic.twitter.com/dHeKavM3yU

Even with the Seahawks on bye week, the All-Pro cornerback made the play of the week giving Ellie the memories she will never forget.
We’re still smiling from Ellie’s visit yesterday w/ @RSherman_25. We love the @Seahawks & can’t think of a better way to spend a bye week. pic.twitter.com/tuQIIbp8xm

Warms the soul. Good on ya Richard!
Very cool!
I don't always like Richard Sherman on the field, but I'm sure I likely would like him much better if he was a member of the Arizona Cardinals.
But off the field, the guy is just a class act who is constantly reaching out to help people. I believe helping people is why we are put on this earth. Helping little kids gets him even more points in my book.
Great job Mr. Sherman.. Much respect.
