Sun Devil Stadium end zone art celebrates Hispanic culture and heritage

Sun Devil Stadium will have a slick new look to celebrate Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month, which is nationally recognized from September 15-October 15.

The corner borders in the back of each end zone feature Mayan-inspired design patterns and the Spanish text of “Los Diablos” is displayed underneath the goal posts.

In addition, the Sun Devils will be going with the all-black threads and traditional gold helmet with the pitch fork for its uniform look.

Last year when ASU wore the all black uniforms they suffered a 34-21 loss to Washington State.

ASU’s police department recommends that if you are going to the game and wearing black, just leave it to your clothes and avoid body paint, with temperatures set to be over 90 degrees at kickoff.

That kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and can be heard on ESPN 620 AM / 98.7 FM-HD 2.
