How realistic is NBA 2K18? Its trailer features a grumpy Marquese Chriss

Every year, it’s on the NBA 2K designers to make their video game more realistic.
Place screenshots of last year’s 2K17 next to teaser photos for the 2K18 version, and it was apparent the graphics took a huge step forward. How else do we know 2K18 is going to be so much more realistic?
Let’s check out the trailer that dropped Wednesday.
Yes, there are updated Nike jerseys, Lonzo Ball’s goofy jumper looking spot on and old faces in new places. And then there’s the only appearance by a Phoenix Sun on the trailer.
Marquese Chriss briefly shows up looking upset — probably after a whistle — before tossing a ball into the crowd.

That’s a perfect representation of Chriss, who as a rookie last year showed out with his dunks but also his sometimes perturbed attitude.
Chriss tied teammate Devin Booker for 11 technical fouls last season, the ninth-most in the NBA.
That came as the Suns developed the reputation for rubbing not only the officials the wrong way, but baiting their opponents into minor scuffles throughout the year — if you don’t recall, there was this, this and this to job your memory.
Those incidents don’t include a few postgame verbal back-and-forths, either.
Anyhow, props to the NBA 2K18 crew for capturing Chriss’ mean-mugging attitude. Props to the Suns and Chriss for laughing it off.
Here’s the full trailer for the much-anticipated game.
