Have yourself a night, Chris Iannetta.

As the Arizona Diamondbacks trailed 9-8 in what had been a back-and-forth contest all night up to that point, the D-backs’ catcher came to the plate with the bases juiced.

Iannetta had already hit a home run earlier in the ballgame and had four RBI on the day. With one out and a full count, Iannetta launched a Dustin McGowan pitch onto the porch in left-center field to make it 12-9 D-backs.

Coming into the game, C.I. had 14 home runs on the season and was hitting .249. The 34-year-old had seven RBI against the Padres on June 8.

The D-backs’ franchise record for most RBI in a single game is nine, set by Erubiel Durazo in 2002.

Arizona went on to win 13-11.

I disagree, he was throwing BP out there and Lovullo let him swing in the wind.

I am thinking he was going to give Grenke a few more pitches to figure everything out. Grenk deserves a second thought..

I don't care about a single thing except why Greinke was sent back out in the 4th? He clearly didn't have it and Lovullo wasn't helping his player. Glad we got the win, let's clinch tomorrow!
