The Phoenix Suns have waived forward Tidjan Keita and guard Elijah Millsap, the team announced Saturday.

Keita, who was signed Friday,  stands at 6-foot-10 and 205 pounds and is a native of Paris, France. Boasting a 7-foot-3 wingspan, the former Toronto Raptors NBA Summer League player was undrafted and formerly played at Cegep de Thetford in Quebec, Canada.

The 20-year-old was part of a pre-draft workout for the Suns before this year’s draft.

Millsap joined the Suns on April 9. He played in the team’s final two games in the 2016-107 season. This season, he played in four preaseason games for the Suns, scoring 10 points in 24 minutes. The guard averaged 19.7 points per game for the Suns G-League affiliate in its inaugural season.

With the two moves made Saturday, the Suns now have 17 players on their roster.

It may look like the team still needs to make two more cuts to get down to 15, but given that there are two two-way players in guard Mike James and forward Alec Peters on the roster, the team is allowed to carry 17.

Per the rules regarding two-way deals, James and Peters will be able to spend up to 45 days with the Suns, where they could max out their two-way contracts and force the team into an option: either signing one or both to at least a minimum NBA contract for the rest of the year or waiving them.
