Arizona Sports Fantasy Football Host League: Week 12 recap

Nov 28, 2017, 2:55 PM

Week 12 of the Fantasy Football season for the 98.7 FM Arizona Sports Host League saw seven of the teams score more than 100 points. Find out who won and more in this week’s recap.

Mike Jurecki (Team Jurecki): 134

Listener Winner (Dancing with Stanton): 76

This was the Listener Winner’s biggest defeat of the Fantasy Football Season. Mike Jurecki’s team was consistent this week with every player scoring in the double digits. His highest scorer was Le’Veon Bell with 27 points, but Carson Wentz closely followed with 23. On the other hand, the Listener Winner only had three players score more than 10 points with his leading scorer being Zach Ertz with 26. Despite the great week from his tight end, his wide receivers struggled by racking up a combined 10 points.

Dan Bickley (Blinded by the TD’s): 72

John Gambadoro (Sister Markus Golden Hair): 106

Gambo got another win this week, as his team was led by Marvin Jones Jr.’s 28 points. His defense and kicker had a good week with a combined total of 23 points. Bickley’s team was really hurt by Michael Crabtree getting into a fight with Aqib Talib as the wide receiver left Bickley with a fat zero in his No. 1 spot. His defense (Patriots D/ST) was his leading scorer with 18 points.

Bertrand Berry (Daddy Phat $acks): 114

Doug Franz (I Hate Fantasy): 128

Despite Vernon Davis leaving Doug with zero points at tight end, he was still able to get the victory this week against B-Train. Doug’s wide receivers led the way with a combined 54 points, although his leading scorer game from his running back, Joe Mixon, with 25 points. B-Train’s team was led by Blake Bortles with 22 points, and like Doug Franz, his wide receivers led his team with a combined 56 points.

Vince Marotta (That Booty!): 139

Paul Calvisi (Paulie Pigskins): 156

This was the highest scoring matchup for the host league this week. Sadly, If Vince Marotta went up against any other player, he would have pulled out the victory. Unfortunately, he was playing Paul. Paul had every single one of his players score at least 11 points with Keenan Allen leading the way at 34 points. Vince’s team was led by Antonio Brown with 40 points, while his wide receivers racked up a combined 71 points.

Dave Burns (Bold Strategy Cotton): 95

Ron Wolfley (Team Wolfley): 123

It was the week of the wide receivers in the Fantasy Football Host League. Wolf’s team was led by Julio Jones’s 50 points, but running back Alvin Kamara closely followed with 36 points. Other than those two players, Wolf’s team was mediocre with only two scoring more than 4 points. Burnsy’s running backs did not have a good week as they combined for only 9 points, but much like the other teams this week, his leading scorer was his wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins, who scored 19 points.
