Oh that sports world, it never sleeps.
In baseball, former NL MVP Ryan Braun was suspended for the remainder of the 2013 season due to violating the league’s performance enhancing drug policy. There has to be a reaction that, as well as the idea that the Chicago Cubs are looking to renovate historic Wrigley Field. Locally, the Arizona Diamondbacks fell out of first place for the first time in more than two months.
On the gridiron, the New England Patriots addressed Aaron Hernandez for the first time since the tight end was released due to a murder investigation. What did QB Tom Brady have to say? Also, a couple of the league’s fastest players are looking to race one of the planet’s fastest animals.
And in basketball, the Phoenix Suns came a game short of claiming their first championship. Ahh well, maybe next year.
