The Arizona Diamondbacks announced Friday that they will provide military members and first responders with discounted tickets for all home games during the 2018 season.

According to a release, the team will partner with GEICO to provide all current, former of retired military and first responders have the opportunity to receive up to a 50 percent savings on D-backs games at Chase Field.

“We are proud to offer our service men and women savings on tickets to every one of our home games this season,” D-backs president and CEO Derrick Hall said in a statement.” In the past we offered discounts to limited games and while the results were very positive, we are excited to extend this offer to every game for our local heroes.”

The discounts are the latest efforts by the D-backs organization to show appreciation for members of the military and first responders.

The team announced Sunday they would open former D-backs legend Luis Gonzalez’s Gonzo’s Grill in the center field concourse, with portions of the proceeds benefitting Gonzo’s Hometown Heroes Fund to benefit projects, programs and nonprofit organizations that support police officers, firefighters and first responders.

The team will host Hometown Heroes Weekend on July 6-8, with a portion of ticket sales going also benefiting Gonzo’s Hometown Heroes Fund.

Paying tribute on Memorial Day on May 28 against the Cincinnati Reds, the team will wear special Memorial Day Camo Caps and give away an additional 20,000 to fans.

More information on how to purchase discounted tickets can be found online.
