Mickael Pietrus has elected to have knee surgery this summer.

According to his agent the swingman will get his knee cleaned out .

The surgery is nothing major and should not keep Pietrus, who picked up his $5.3 million option for next season, out for very long.

Pietrus will not play for the French national team because of his surgery, but he will be ready for the next NBA season, whenever that is.
