The Arizona Cardinals were flying around on the defense in their preseason debut at home against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Defensive end Cap Capi was all over the quarterback. He finished with three sacks and a forced fumble, all against quarterback Geno Smith.

Capi’s forced fumble led to the Cardinal’s game-winning touchdown.

The Cardinals recently signed Capi to a one-year deal after spending training camp with the team in 2017 despite not making the team.

He is listed as the fourth-string defensive end on the depth chart. Even if these performances come against other fourth-stringers, he’s putting in a good fight for the 52-man roster.

Arizona’s other two forced turnovers came on an interception and fumble recovery for a score. Defensive back Bené Benwikere contributed to both.

He caused a fumble, which linebacker Jeremy Cash took back for the touchdown.

Unfortunately, Cash was later carted off the field with a knee injury.

Benwikere also tipped a pass that  A.J. Howard caught for the pick.

Safety Rudy Ford and cornerback Chris Campbell both led the team with six total tackles apiece. Defensive tackle Olsen Pierre recorded two tackles for loss and a recovered a fumble in the 24-17 win.
