It’s rare when everyone is in agreement.

You could have a family of four discussing where they should go to dinner and get four different suggestions.

Yet, all nine (SB Nation has been removed from our battery) outlets we track for NFL Power Rankings have the Arizona Cardinals ranked 32 in this week’s pecking orders. And you know what? It’s hard to even argue they shouldn’t be last. After all, the league’s only other three-win team — the Oakland Raiders — beat the Cardinals on their home field.

Ugh.

Well, if nothing else, at least it’s almost over. Here’s this week’s misery.

Biggest breakthrough: WR Christian Kirk. He might be just a rookie, but the second-rounder has had the biggest breakthrough of any Cardinal this season. When he broke his foot two weeks ago, Kirk was the Cardinals’ leading receiver with 536 yards — leading future Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald by 76 yards at the time. Kirk was expected to have a role in the offense, but he exceeded expectations during his 12 games.
NFL Power Rankings, Week 16: Chargers closing in on No. 1 spot

The Cardinals are becoming the magic elixir for whatever ails any team (save for the Packers). Arizona whisked the Falcons — who hadn’t won since early November — off the winter schneid, barely putting up a fight Sunday in Atlanta. The hardest part for fans must be watching the offense, which treads water (at best) week after week. The rundown: More penalties and punts than points (15-14), with three turnovers and a mercy quarterback change late. Mike Glennon fared better than Josh Rosen, but with the score already 40-7, the Falcons were content to let him complete a few. Incompletions cause the clock to stop. Nobody wants the clock stalled this late in a season going nowhere. Go Cardinals.

The Green Bay win seems like a distant memory after two horrid performances. Is head coach Steve Wilks’ job safe? The Arizona Republic’s Kent Somers believes it is a “foregone conclusion” that Wilks will be fired. Anytime a coach goes one-and-done, it’s an organizational failure. It would be justifiable though, given how awful the Cardinals have looked this season. What a mess in Arizona.

In a season that’s been just about all lows, the Redbirds hit a new one, getting flattened by an Atlanta Falcons team that had lost its last five games. Quarterback Josh Rosen was a disaster, throwing his fourth pick-six of the season before getting benched. The defense was scorched for well over 400 yards and 40 points.
