A rookie no more. The Cowboys came at Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson at the start of the game, but he shut down everything. As the game went on, the Cowboys offense shifted away from Peterson and they, unlike the Rams, knew better than to punt to Peterson. The Cardinals got to Tony Romo Sunday. The Cards defense brought the quarterback down for a season-high five sacks and were a huge part of the Cardinals victory. They held Romo and the rest of the Cowboys to just 13 points. The game came down to the end yet again at University of Phoenix Stadium. With just a few ticks left on the clock, Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey booted a field goal to go ahead, but the play was called back because of a timeout called by Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett. Bailey missed the next field goal. The Cowboys effectively iced their own kicker. What a difference some turf toe makes. Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb looked like a whole new player on Sunday. He stayed in the pocket, trusted his receivers and was dangerous when out of the pocket. He finished the game 16-for-25 with 247 yards and threw the game-winning touchdown.
