D-backs recall OF Tim Locastro from Triple-A Reno, option C Caleb Joseph

The Arizona Diamondbacks have recalled outfielder Tim Locastro from Triple-A Reno and have optioned catcher Caleb Joseph, the team announced Friday.
In nine games with the D-backs this season, Locastro is batting .364 (4-for-11) with an on-base percentage of .563 and a slugging percentage of .364.
He also has two walks, two stolen bases and four runs scored for Arizona in 2019.
The 26-year-old has also played 11 games for the Aces this year.
In that time, he has put together quite an impressive slash line of .395/.458/.907 to go along with five home runs, 12 RBI, two doubles, three triples and four stolen bases.
Locastro was acquired on January 16 from the Yankees for LHP Ronald Roman and cash considerations.
Joseph, 32, has only been able to muster a .176 batting average (3-for-17) and two RBI in his nine games as a D-back this season.
With Alex Avila on IR since April 7 due to a strained left quad, Carson Kelly and John Ryan Murphy now sit as the two other catchers on the D-backs’ active roster.
Kelly and Murphy have combined to start in 22 of the D-backs’ 31 games this season.
