The NBA trade deadline has come and gone.

Although we saw a flurry of activity right before the 1:00 p.m. Phoenix deadline last Thursday, there are still plenty of players changing rosters.

Due to contract buyouts, more players are on the open market. The Phoenix Suns may have a beat on one of the more intriguing names out there.

Robinson, 23, has already worn three NBA uniforms since coming into the league as a first-round draft pick out of Kansas in 2012. The Sacramento Kings took him with the fifth overall selection, but traded him at the deadline that season to the Houston Rockets.

In July of 2013, Houston dealt Robinson to the Portland Trail Blazers, where he’d spend the next year-and-a-half before being traded to Denver in the Arron Afflalo swap last week.

Robinson was waived by the Nuggets Sunday.

There’s no doubt his pro career has been a disappointment so far, but at 6-foot-9 and 240 pounds, Robinson could add some much-needed front court depth to the Suns’ roster as they push for a playoff spot. He averaged 3.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in 32 contests for Portland this season.

Stay tuned.

UPDATE:

So much for that:
