D-backs to give out Haboob Globe this Saturday against Nationals

Jul 31, 2019, 10:23 AM

Storms have struck the Valley this week, and they’ll be continuing this weekend. At least, that is, at Chase Field.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will be giving out a Haboob Globe to the first 20,000 fans who attend Saturday’s game on Aug. 3 against the Washington Nationals.

The globe, which features a tan dust rather than snow, has an open-roofed Chase Field covered in the dust spread by the Haboob when the globe is shaken.

The globe is the latest promotion from the D-backs, who have recently given away the Nick “Ahmed on the Moon” Bobblehead against the Brewers and the David Peralta #FreightTrain Bobblehead in June against the Giants.

The Washington Nationals are currently 57-50, good enough for second in the NL East and lead the NL Wild Card spot by half a game.
