Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald set a franchise record as soon as he took the field Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
Fitzgerald appeared in his 235th regular season game, which makes him the franchise’s all-time leader in games played.
Kicker Jim Bakken previously held the record when he suited up for the Cardinals from 1962-78.
Fitzgerald expressed his excitement to begin his 16th season on Twitter ahead of Sunday’s game.
Another journey with my brothers begins today. Grateful doesn’t begin to describe it. #GoCards
