GLENDALE, Ariz. — Punter Andy Lee will officially miss the Arizona Cardinals’ Week 4 home game against the Seattle Seahawks with a hip flexor injury he suffered a week ago.
That means second-year pro Ryan Winslow will likely make his first NFL punts at State Farm Stadium on Sunday.
Lee exited in Week 3 during a loss to the Carolina Panthers after he needed to make a tackle in punt coverage. Kicker Zane Gonzalez punted in place of Lee.
Arizona rested Lee all week and signed Winslow to the practice squad Tuesday before elevating the latter to the 53-man roster on Saturday. Winslow spent all of training camp and the preseason with Arizona before being released at roster cutdowns before the regular season began.
Winslow punted 14 times for an average of 46.9 yards per punt during the preseason. The second-year pro out of Pittsburgh spent last preseason with the Chicago Bears before being cut.
The Cardinals had already ruled out receiver Damiere Byrd (hamstring) and defensive back Charles Washington (shoulder) for the Week 4 matchup against the Seahawks.
Here are the rest of Arizona’s inactives:
DL Michael Dogbe
OL Lamont Gaillard (knee)
OL Josh Miles
OL Brett Toth
Absent for the first time on the inactives list and available to play for the Cardinals is defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard, a 2016 third-round pick by the Bears who was picked up via waivers before Week 1.
