Black ‘Los Suns’ City Edition uniforms leak early

Nov 20, 2019, 11:32 AM

The Phoenix Suns didn’t overhaul their City Edition jerseys from the 2018-19 season, but an early leak of the 2019-20 version of the uniforms revealed there is a color change.

While the Suns rocked a light purple version of the “Los Suns” kits a year ago, they will wear a black version this year.

SportsLogos.net’s Chris Creamer confirmed the Suns jersey leaked on Tuesday.

Just like the purple version of the uniforms, the jerseys read “Somos PHX” above the Nike label.

The right pant leg features a purple and orange Arizona flag, while the Suns’ classic sunburst logo sits at the belt line.

The numerals and lettering are white with orange piping, while the shoulders and neck of the jersey are lined with purple and orange to complement the black uniforms.

Phoenix was expected to officially release the new jerseys this Friday.

The City Edition uniforms add to a wardrobe for the Suns that includes the Suns’ regular rotation of white and purple jerseys. They also have an orange-dominant alternate with a sunburst logo, which is their Statement Edition alternate for the 2019-20 season.
