Deandre Ayton will have to wait a little longer to play his third game of the season.

The Phoenix Suns center was ruled out for the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night due to a right ankle sprain.

Ayton appeared to hurt his ankle during the second half of the game Tuesday against the Los Angeles Clippers and did not play in the fourth quarter. In 24 minutes, he scored 18 points and had 12 assists.

That was Ayton’s first game back from a 25-game suspension after testing positive for a diuretic.

The Suns are 1-1 with Ayton and 10-15 without. Phoenix has yet to play with its opening day lineup since that first game.

Guard Devin Booker is questionable with a right forearm contusion, as is Cam Johnson with left hip soreness.

Tyler Johnson (illness) is probable.
