Coyotes’ goaltender Antti Raanta dealing with lower-body injury

Arizona Coyotes goaltender Antti Raanta was scratched from the starting lineup before Saturday afternoon’s loss to the Boston Bruins due to a lower-body injury, Coyotes’ head coach Rick Tocchet said after the game.

Tocchet says Raanta is day-to-day.

He was originally in the starting lineup posted by the Coyotes’ Twitter account, but was later updated to say Adin Hill would start in goal.

Raanta allowed four goals in the loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Feb. 6 after shutting out the Edmonton Oilers in a win on Feb. 4.

The 30-year-old has played in 26 games so far this season and holds a .915 save percentage.

While Raanta is day to day, Tocchet said goaltender Darcy Kuemper is expected to practice on Sunday with the Coyotes in Montreal.

He is recovering from a lower body injury and hasn’t played since Dec. 19.

Hill, 23, started his seventh game in net and played in his 11th game overall.

He allowed three goals in a 3-2 loss to the Bruins.
