Suns announce ticket policy for games impacted by NBA stoppage

The Phoenix Suns announced Friday that tickets for games impacted by the NBA stoppage will be honored or refunded depending on whether or not the game in question is rescheduled.

After a Utah Jazz player tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday, league play was suspended. On Thursday, NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced a break of at least 30 days before game play resumes.

With a fluid situation, the league has not yet decided whether games will be rescheduled or ultimately canceled.

Additionally, there is still a possibility of games played without fans in attendance, according to the Suns press release.

The team said tickets that have already been purchased for the impacted games will be honored if the game is rescheduled. If the games are not played or if fans are not allowed, the purchaser can receive credit for a different ticket or be refunded.

If these games are ultimately not played or played in an empty arena, fans who purchased through the Suns, Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster affiliates, or the Talking Stick Resort Arena box office will have the option to receive a credit for a future Suns game or will be refunded at point of purchase.

Suns president Robert Sarver told Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro on Friday that employees will be paid during the work stoppage.
