The virtual Phoenix Suns forced overtime against the Miami Heat, but a late shot from Heat wing Jimmy Butler iced the game as Phoenix lost 105-97 in the NBA 2K20 live stream on Saturday.
The Suns trailed by six points in the fourth quarter before an 8-0 run in less than one minute of game time put the team ahead by a basket with 4:44 to go.
They maintained a two-point lead with about 30 seconds left, but Butler drove to tie the game with a layup.
Suns guard Devin Booker missed a wide-open 3-point shot right before the buzzer, and then center Deandre Ayton got the offensive rebound — but his putback came too late and the game went to overtime.
Phoenix could only score four points in overtime and fell.
The Suns were controlled by 2K streamer Curtis “Bud Lane” and the Heat were led by Heat Check Gaming general manager Derric “Famous” Franklin.
Ayton led the Suns with 20 points, 12 rebounds and four steals. Booker and forward Dario Saric had 14 points apiece.
Franklin did most of his damage with center Bam Adebayo, who had 29 points, 13 rebounds and four assists for the Heat, and Butler, who had 27 points and 10 assists.
