For the 10th year in a row and the 10th year of the NFL Top 100 existing, Larry Fitzgerald is on the list.
The Arizona Cardinals wide receiver is ranked No. 69 in the leaguewide player rankings by the NFL Network, slipping nine spots from 60th in 2019. It’s only the third year Fitzgerald is outside the top-50, as he has been ranked as high as seventh (2012) and was also recently No. 27 in 2018.
Fitzgerald finished 2019 with four receiving touchdowns and a team-leading 804 yards, the latter of which led the team in its first year led by head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Fitzgerald also was rookie quarterback Kyler Murray’s top explosive play option down the field with 10 catches of 20-plus yards.
The 16-year pro Fitzgerald has led the league in receptions twice (2005, 2016), recorded nine 1,000-yard seasons, earned 11 Pro Bowl selections and one All-Pro selection.
Fitzgerald’s 17,083 career receiving yards rank second all-time behind Jerry Rice (22,895). He also ranks second all-time behind Rice (1,549) with 1,378 receptions and is sixth in receiving touchdowns (120), putting him behind Marvin Harrison, Cris Carter, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss and Rice.
The rest of the list is set to be revealed with No. 40 to 11 on Tuesday and the top 10 on Wednesday.
Cardinals pass rusher Chandler Jones is expected to be a lot higher on the rankings than he was last year, and that’s actually rather easy for him to do since he was inexplicably left off the list entirely last season.
Last year I wasn’t ranked, this should be interesting!
