The Los Angeles Rams were hit with yet another shot to the arm ahead of the team’s Week 17 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.

The team placed defensive lineman Michael Brockers on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.

It is not known whether Brockers tested positive or if was in close contact with someone who did.

If it was indeed due to contract tracing, Brockers could potentially still suit up against the Cardinals if it was a medium-risk contact.

The defensive lineman joins starting wide receiver Cooper Kupp on the list. Kupp reportedly tested positive for the virus and will miss Sunday’s game against Arizona.

In 15 games, Brockers accumulated 51 tackles, 5.5 of which were for losses, and 5.0 sacks. He’s tied for third on the Rams in the sack category.

Starting in place of Brockers could potentially be DL Morgan Fox.

Fox has played every game this season, recording 23 tackles, 5.0 sacks, two passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

If Brockers were to miss the game, he would join numerous starters on the sideline.

On Monday, starting quarterback Jared Goff underwent thumb surgery and was ruled out for the contest. The team’s top rushing threat in Darrell Henderson was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday and Kupp on the COVID-19 list Wednesday.
