After every Arizona Diamondbacks game we’ll examine the
box score and
provide you with instant analysis. So it’s time to go
Inside the Box for
September 6, 2011: Rockies 8, Diamondbacks 3

The Good:

Arizona starter Josh Collmenter was fantastic tossing six and 1/3 innings only giving up five hits and one run.

Collmenter continues to give Arizona quality starts and a solid fourth starter.

Aaron Hill and Justin Upton each had two hits for Arizona.

The Bad:

Arizona had a 3-1 lead entering the eighth inning but couldn’t hold it as David Hernandez had a rare off night.

The D-backs main set-up man gave up five runs with Troy Tulowitzki’s three-run homer being the devastating blow for the D-backs.

Arizona gave up a total of seven runs in the eighth inning turning what looked like was going to be a D-backs win into a blow-out victory for Colorado.
