D-backs claim highest number of stolen bases in postseason

It happened in the third inning on Wednesday night.

Paul Goldschmidt managed the 90 feet between first and second base and put the Diamondbacks into the postseason leader’s spot for stolen bases as a team.

At the start of play Wednesday, the D-backs were tied with the Cardinals and Rangers with four stolen bases in the postseason. When Goldschmidt stole second, he put the D-backs in the lead with five stolen bases.

If the current number holds, the D-backs are only trailing the franchise record of six stolen bases by one. That record was set by the 2001 World Champion team.
