You don’t see purple on the ice that often but the Arizona Coyotes will be changing that on Saturday with a new jersey look.
In a showdown against the St. Louis Blues at home, the Coyotes will don their special Reverse Retro alternate jerseys.
The Kachina look that was previously in green from 1999-2003 has the reversal special of now being in purple.
The uniforms feature the franchise’s original Coyotes head logo with gecko patches on each shoulder. The bottom of the jerseys feature a desert setting — green cacti, orange mountains and the team’s old purple moon logo included.
In October, the team announced that players will wear a Kachina patch in the 25 games they don the classic Kachina jerseys as a way to celebrate the franchise’s 25 years in the Valley.
