D-backs’ Bauer gets win, but isn’t 100% pleased

Trevor Bauer made his second Cactus League start Friday,
allowing two runs on four hits in the Diamondbacks’ 8-5
win over the Seattle Mariners in at Peoria Sports Complex.

Bauer struck out two batters and threw 30 strikes in his
44 pitches during a three-inning stint, but he wasn’t
pleased with the strikes he did throw.

“Strikes? Yeah. Quality strikes? No.” Bauer said. “I was
missing more down in the zone today than I like to. Threw
a couple good ones up, got a couple ground balls on the
infield and a couple jam shots, but for the most part I
was missing down in the zone, so I wasn’t too happy about
that.”
