Stephen Drew batting second in return to lineup

Stephen Drew will make his long-awaited return to the
Arizona Diamondbacks’ lineup Wednesday.
Drew will play shortstop and bat second for manager Kirk
Gibson in the second game of a three-game series against
the Atlanta Braves.
Drew has missed the last 137 regular season games for
Arizona after suffering a gruesome right ankle injury last
July in a loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.
After rehabilitation, extended spring training and 11
games in the minor leagues in which he batted .244 with
two homers and five runs batted in, Drew is ready to
return.
Wednesday will also be another off day for Chris Young.
The D-backs center fielder has struggled mightily since
returning from the disabled list May 18. Since coming
back from the shoulder injury he suffered April 17, Young
is batting just .147 with three runs batted in.
Young has been absent from the Arizona lineup since last
Saturday when he went 1-for-5 with two strikeouts in a 10-
5 win over the Chicago Cubs at Chase Field.
