ESPN NFL insider: ‘Why hasn’t Kevin Kolb won starting job?’

The Arizona Cardinals’ quarterback battle may be garnering a lot of attention here in the Valley, but nationwide, there’s a general lack of understanding as to why Kevin Kolb hasn’t locked down the starting job yet.

ESPN NFL insider John Clayton told Arizona Sports 620’s Doug and Wolf Show Thursday that at this point in time, it’s worrisome.

“Why hasn’t Kevin Kolb won this starting job and at this stage, he hasn’t and that’s I think the scary part,” Clayton said. “It doesn’t mean he won’t, but for whatever reason, it just doesn’t seem he has won over everybody.”

Clayton thinks Kolb hasn’t been able to convince the Cardinals’ staff and his teammates that he is the right man to lead this organization to the Promised Land.
