The Arizona Coyotes signed former Colorado Avalanche forward Liam O’Brien to a one-year contract, the team announced on Wednesday.

O’Brien has 29 games of NHL experience across the last four seasons with the Washington Capitals and Avalanche.

He has logged one goal and three assists in his career with 68 penalty minutes and plus-5 rating.

O’Brien split time between the Avalanche and Colorado Eagles of the AHL last season, playing 12 games on each team.

He tallied three assists with the NHL squad and four goals and three assists with the AHL squad.

After signing with the Capitals in 2014, O’Brien has logged 67 goals, 78 assists, 145 points and 653 PIM in his 382-game AHL career.

In a busy day of free agent signings, O’Brien was the second Liam the team signed on the day after inking British forward Liam Kirk to an entry-level contract.
