The Arizona Diamondbacks announced Tuesday they have reinstated infielder/outfielder Josh Rojas from the injured list.
In a corresponding move, the D-backs optioned second baseman Jake Hager to Triple-A Reno.
Rojas, 27, has made 91 appearances for Arizona this year, with 78 starts. He’s opened 26 games at second base, 24 in right field, 20 at shortstop and eight in left field.
Across 366 plate appearances, Rojas is hitting .268 with 10 home runs and 28 RBI, plus 22 doubles and 44 walks. Rojas’ .795 OPS is third on the team among the players with at least 150 plate appearances.
Hager started five games for the D-backs and appeared in six total games. The 28-year-old had two hits and three walks in 19 plate appearances.
The D-backs start a two-game series with the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday. First pitch is slated for 6:40 p.m. on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
