He may not have played a down for his new team yet, but defensive lineman J.J. Watt is already representing the Arizona Cardinals among the NFL’s best.

Watt landed at the No. 66 spot in the NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2021 on Sunday after No. 100-41 were revealed.

It marks the ninth consecutive time the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year has been voted to the list by his peers.

The only time Watt didn’t make it was following his 2011 rookie year for the Top 100 Players of 2012.

Watt has been dealing with a hamstring issue after passing the Cardinals’ conditioning test on July 27, but the defensive lineman has said that he focused on being ready to go for his first game in an Arizona uniform in Week 1 on Sept. 12 against the Titans in Tennessee.

He may be the first Cardinal to crack the list, but with 40 spots still remaining, there’s still a shot to see the likes of wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, safety Budda Baker and maybe even quarterback Kyler Murray receive Top-100 honors from their NFL counterparts.

The No. 40-11 slots will be revealed on Aug. 22, while the top 10 will get released on Aug. 28.
