The Los Angeles Rams will be without two key players Monday night against the Arizona Cardinals as the team added cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Tyler Higbee to the COVID-19 list.
Ramsey, a two-time First Team All-Pro, is regarded as one of the best at his position in the NFL. In 2021, Ramsey has three interceptions along with 11 passes defensed.
He’s also among the best tacklers at his position, with 46 solo tackles on the year.
For Monday Night Football, it’s likely Ramsey would have shadowed Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, which would’ve made for a matchup featuring two of the game’s best.
As for Higbee, the tight end has been an effective weapon for the Rams’ passing game. Higbee has hauled in 44 receptions on the year, for 395 yards and three scores.
In an additional move, the Rams activated linebacker Justin Hollins from the injured reserve.
Along with Ramsey and Higbee, the Rams also have running back Darrell Henderson Jr., offensive lineman Rob Havenstein and cornerback Dont’e Deayon on the COVID-19 list.
Kickoff between the Cardinals and Rams is set for 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Listen live on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
