Grand Canyon men’s basketball has canceled its Tuesday matchup against the Nevada Wolf Pack due to coronavirus protocols within the Antelopes’ program.
The game will not be rescheduled, the team announced.
It marks the 15th Division I men’s basketball game that has been canceled from Tuesday’s slate of games.
Since falling 67-62 to the Arizona State Sun Devils, GCU has rattled off back-to-back wins, including a 49-48 win over the then-undefeated San Francisco Dons. The Antelopes sit 10-2 on the season and second in the WAC standings behind only New Mexico State.
The Antelopes’ next scheduled game is slated for Dec. 30 against Chicago State.
The news of GCU’s cancellation is the latest game impacted locally after the Arizona Coyotes had their last two games postponed due to COVID-19 concerns for the other team, including Tuesday’s matchup in Seattle against the Kraken.
