The Phoenix Suns went into halftime Friday night up 74-66 against the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves. That set their season-high for points scored in a half.
Guards Devin Booker and Chris Paul continued to lead the way with 20 and 15 points, respectively, but everyone got involved for Phoenix in the first 24 minutes.
Four Suns finished the half with double-digit points, including forward Mikal Bridges (14) and center Bismack Biyombo (10).
The ball movement was a standout as the Suns finished the half with 20 assists. That is more than they had in Wednesday’s victory over the Utah Jazz (14).

Paul scored all 15 of his points in the second period.
The Timberwolves, though, did not fall into a hole, as they put up 32 and 34 points in the first two quarters.
Second-year guard Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 16 points on 11 shots. The Minnesota bench outscored Phoenix’s by 16 points.
Neither team was at full strength, as Phoenix missed center Deandre Ayton and forward Jae Crowder. The Timberwolves did not have guards Patrick Beverley or D’Angelo Russell.
Both teams still eclipsed 50% shooting: 54.5% for Minnesota and 52.2% for Phoenix.
It was a clean first half, as well. The two sides combined for only seven turnovers and made the most out of offensive possessions.
The Suns went on to win the game 134-124 to extend their winning streak to nine games.
