Arizona Cardinals strength and conditioning coach Buddy Morris was honored with the NFL Strength Coach of the Year award for the 2021 season.

Assistant strength and conditioning coach Mark Naylor posted a picture of Morris after accepting a plaque on Thursday.

Morris has been with the Cardinals since 2014, spanning the head-coaching eras of Bruce Arians, Steve Wilks and Kliff Kingsbury. He previously had three stints at the University of Pittsburgh (1980-89, 1997-2001, 2007-10), one at the University of Buffalo (2006) and another with the Cleveland Browns (2002-04).

Morris is a University of Pittsburgh graduate and competed in track and field for the Panthers from 1977-1980.

After Morris was awarded by the NFL on Thursday, Cardinals defensive end J.J. Watt made note of Morris’ attire.

Morris is known for foregoing sleeves both on the practices fields as well as during games.
