The Phoenix Suns had five players reach double-digit points in a 130-point offensive barrage against the Warriors at Footprint Center Wednesday night.

Golden State’s Stephen Curry, though, kept his squad in the game single-handedly with a masterful 50-point half in which he hit seven 3s.

The Suns led 72-65 at the break and finished off the defending champs, 130-119.

Cameron Payne led Phoenix with 29 points, a career-high. Devin Booker added 27 points, although a pass of his was one of the highlight plays of the first half. After center Jock Landale knocked a pass away, Booker launched a one-handed, cross-court pass to Duane Washington Jr., who found an open Damion Lee in the corner for a 3-pointer.

It encapsulated the night for Phoenix in which the team racked up 33 assists, which tied a season best.

The Suns did what they could to build a lead with passing, offensive rebounding (seven) and getting to the free-throw line (16 attempts) in the first half. They shot four free throws in their last game total.

Phoenix also hit 21 3s on the night.

Phoenix improved to 2-0 against Golden State this year and 8-5 overall.

Suns wing Josh Okogie got up for a highlight block on Warriors forward JaMychal Green in the second quarter.
