Arizona Cardinals cornerback Marco Wilson (stinger) and defensive lineman Zach Allen (hand) were both ruled out of Monday’s game against the New England Patriots.

Wilson made a play in the late first quarter, and afterward, was down on the ground in pain. He came off the field before going back to the medical tent and then getting checked out back in the locker room.

Allen injured himself in the third quarter and went back to the locker room before getting ruled out.

It was one of a handful of injuries in the game.

Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was ruled out due a non-contact knee injury and running back James Conner returned after he appeared to have the wind knocked out of him.

On the Patriots side, running back Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle), wide receiver DeVante Parker (head) and former Arizona State defensive back Jack Jones (knee) were both ruled out after initially also being labeled questionable from in-game injuries.

Wilson’s importance is magnified in Monday’s game because of a back injury that continues to keep out top corner Byron Murphy Jr. The second-year cornerback Wilson had one interception, one forced fumble and eight passes defensed this season.

Allen had a sack in Monday’s game, bringing his total on the season to 5.5, the second most on the team.

Arizona trailed 27-13 early in the fourth quarter.
