Back injury sidelines Arizona Coyotes C Martin Hanzal for rest of season

Feb 12, 2015, 9:02 PM | Updated: 9:02 pm

It looks like the Arizona Coyotes are going to have to finish the season without one of their key players.

In separate tweets, Maloney was quoted as saying, “The likelihood of him returning this season is remote but we do anticipate a full recovery,” as well as, “He’s still a young man. We’ve got to get him better. We need to get him where he’s healthy & can help us win.”

Hanzal has not played since Jan. 29, when he scored the winning goal in a 3-1 victory over Toronto.

The 27-year-old has appeared in 37 games this season, tallying eight goals, 16 assists and 24 penalty minutes.
