Cardinals have their own free agents to worry about

The Arizona Cardinals can begin negotiating with free agents Tuesday morning, and they may have to start with the ones who wore a Cardinals jersey last season.

Among the group are three players (Early Doucet, Tim Hightower, Brandon Keith) who carry restricted free agent status. The Cardinals extend offers to the three, meaning if they sign elsewhere the team will receive compensation in the form of a third-round pick for Doucet and a second rounder for both Hightower and Keith.

The Cardinals also have 16 unrestricted free agents, all of whom can sign with any team they choose. Among them are WR Steve Breaston, offensive linemen Deuce Lutui and Lyle Sendlein, and defensive linemen Gabe Watson and Alan Branch.

The Cardinals have plenty of other players, most of whom contribute on special teams, that they may look to bring back.
