Cardinals could be landing spot for Dolphins backup

Jul 26, 2011, 4:00 PM | Updated: 5:06 pm

While the Cardinals have been linked to names such as Kevin Kolb, Kyle Orton and Matt Hasselbeck, it could be a lesser-known player signing with the team in the near future.

Free agent quarterback Tyler Thigpen has his eyes on these potential landing places: Tennessee, Buffalo, Minnesota, Seattle and Arizona.less than a minute ago via TweetDeck Favorite Retweet Reply

Just 27-years-old, Thigpen has starting experience, and had a nice year in 2008 with the Chiefs when he tossed 18 touchdown passes against just 12 interceptions.

Thigpen is an interesting quarterback option. Though not likely being looked at as a starter, he would be a solid backup for the team. His signing would be a sign that the Cardinals aren’t as sold on John Skelton — at least not yet — as previously thought.
