Ice Bites: It’s official, Phoenix Coyotes are in a funk

Jan 15, 2014, 9:08 PM | Updated: 9:08 pm

Something is smelling a bit “funky” out at Jobing.com Arena.

No, I’m not talking about the Phoenix Coyotes’ locker room. I’m talking about the funk happening on the ice, where the team is struggling to win because they are shifting away from their game.

The team’s recent six-game homestand didn’t go well. It should have been an easier stretch, but the Coyotes only managed a 2-4 record and truthfully only played one good game, when they destroyed Calgary.

What’s wrong? Aside from guys who shouldn’t be on the roster, the offense cooled off and is highlighting the gaps in both defense and goaltending.

So where does the team go from here? You’ll have to watch the video to find out.
