Penguins’ Sidney Crosby takes batting practice against the Coyotes

Dec 12, 2016, 7:21 PM | Updated: 7:36 pm

Pittsburgh already led Arizona 4-0 in the second period when Penguins star Sidney Crosby finally decided to get on the scoring.

Crosby netted his 21st goal in 23 games, and it was how he did it that made us say, “wow.”

First, he deflected a shot straight into the air and off the right post. Coyotes goalie Louis Domingue lost sight of the puck as it flipped above his head, but that’s when Crosby turned the hockey game into that of tee-ball.

He swatted the puck right over Domingue’s left shoulder and into the back of the net to give Pittsburgh a 5-0.

Here are another few angles of Crosby’s swing.

Pittsburgh would tack on two more goals to beat the Coyotes 7-0. It was the most goals allowed this season by Arizona, which also allowed seven to Ottawa on Oct. 18.
