Arizona Wildcats move up in rankings following home sweep

Home wins over California and Stanford have led to the Arizona Wildcats moving up in the national rankings.

Arizona, which beat California 64-61 on Thursday and Stanford 94-62 on Saturday, is now 15th in the AP Poll and 14th in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

The Wildcats were 18th and 16th, respectively, last week.

With the wins, Arizona’s record improved to 24-7, with a 12-6 mark in the Pac-12. The fourth seed in this week’s Pac-12 Tournament, the Wildcats are joined in the top 25 by fellow Pac-12 schools Oregon, Utah and California.

Arizona’s next game will be Thursday against either Colorado or Washington State. The Wildcats fell to the Buffaloes 75-72 a couple weeks ago and swept the Cougars in their pair of meetings.
