Infielder Jean Segura is excited to be a Diamondback
The Arizona Diamondbacks added infielder Jean Segura just prior to spring training, bringing the shortstop in to battle at an already crowded position.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Just before pitchers and catchers were getting ready to report to spring training, the Arizona Diamondbacks added another player to their impressive offseason haul.
Jean Segura is excited to join a team stocked with talent but also becomes part of a squad loaded with other infielders. The 25-year-old is battling Brandon Drury, Nick Ahmed, Phil Gosselin and Chris Owings for a starting spot. Cronkite News reporter Torrence Dunham caught up with the player who was traded for Chase Anderson, Aaron Hill and Isan Diaz.
