Earlier this week big man Amar’e Stoudemire reached a contract buyout agreement with the New York Knicks, thus releasing him to sign with another team.

The Phoenix Suns were reportedly interested in bringing Stoudemire back to Arizona, but it was reported Monday night that he has committed to sign with the Dallas Mavericks.

Stoudemire was an All-Star in Phoenix before signing a five-year, $100 million contract in 2010 with the Knicks, where he helped the team to a postseason appearance in his first season before missing time due to two knee operations.
