The Phoenix Suns currently hold the fifth and 30th picks in the first round of the 2013 NBA Draft.

Who they’ll take with each of the selections is anyone’s guess, though they have done (and are doing) their due diligence in learning as much as they can about the prospects.

Below is a list of players the Suns have brought in for workouts and/or visits.

June 22, 2013

“He shot the ball very well today,” Suns GM Ryan McDonough said of Solomon Hill’s workout. “I was impressed with his NBA three-point shooting ability. He showed some stuff off the dribble here that I didn’t get to see a whole lot of at UA. That wasn’t his role. He’s a good player.”

• G Reggie Bullock, North Carolina

• G Brandon Tiche, Syracuse

“A lot of these guys, they have to get in front of as many teams as they can,” GM Ryan McDonough said. “The guys came in today and really competed. I was really impressed with the effort.”

• F C.J. Aiken, St. Joseph’s

• F Brandon Davies, BYU

• F/C Greg Echenique, Creighton

• G Glen Rice Jr., Grande Valley Vipers

• G Colt Ryan, Evansville

• G Angelo Sharpless, Elizabeth City St.

June 20, 2013

“He has such a shot blocking knack,” GM Ryan McDonough said of Kansas center Jeff Withey. “I mean you guys have seen it during the NCAA Tournament and watching Kansas over the course of his career there, (he) really just turns a lot of balls away at the rim, either his own man or off the ball, weak side shot blocking. He’s certainly a factor on that end of the floor.”

• F Aaron Anderson, Kennesaw State

• F Augusto Lima, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

• F Deashaun Tomas, Ohio State

• F Rodney Williams, Minnesota

• C Colton Iverson, Colorado State

• C Jeff Withey, Kansas

June 18, 2013

“We do need some depth there,” GM Ryan McDonough said of perimeter scoring. “That was kind of a weakness for us last year.”

• G Sherwood Brown, Florida Gulf Coast

• G Ian Clark, Belmont

• G Korie Lucious, Iowa State

• G Steven Pledger, Oklahoma

• G Michael Snaer, Florida State

• G Elston Turner, Jr., Texas A&M

June 15, 2013

• C Steven Adams, Pittsburgh

• G Lorenzo Brown, North Carolina State

• G Myck Kabongo, Texas

• G Brandon Paul, Illinois

• F Mike Muscala, Bucknell

• F Alex Oriakhi, Missouri

June 10, 2013

“He’ll be one of the better bigs in the league running the floor,” GM Ryan McDonough said of Duke’s Mason Plumlee. “He plays above the rim. He rebounds above the rim. There were a number of times in the workout today where if he got loose the guards just threw the ball up to the rim and he caught it and dunked it.”

• G Isaiah Canaan, Murray State

• G Khalif Wyatt, Temple

• F Jamelle Hagins, Delaware

• F Dony Mitchell, North Texas

• C DeWayne Dedmon, Southern California

• C Mason Plumlee, Duke

June 8, 2013

“I think he’s primarily a four but can step out and play the three,” said GM Ryan McDonough said of UNLV’s Anthony Bennett. “Anthony is very skilled, he’s strong, he has huge shoulders and long arms.”

• F F Jackie Carmichael, Illinois St.

• F Romero Osby, Oklahoma

• F F Jake Cohen, Davidson

• G Archie Goodwin, Kentucky

• G Erick Green, Virginia Tech

• G Nate Wolters, South Dakota St.

June 7, 2013

“He’s an intriguing guy if he is on the board for us at 30,” McDonough said of Leslie. “He has good quickness, so if he can become a consistent elbow shooter, then guys will have to play him tighter and that will open up his driving ability with his length, which I think is one of the strengths of his game is the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the basket and use his quickness against bigger guys.”

• G Matthew Dellavedova, St. Mary’s

• G Korie Lucious, Iowa State

• G Rodney McGruder, Kansas State

• G Phil Pressey, Missouri

• F Ian Hummer, Princeton

• F C.J. Leslie, North Carolina State

June 6, 2013

“We are comfortable with (Dragic and Marshall), but like I said when I took the job and that continues now, we’re going to take the best player,” GM Ryan McDonough said. “So, with the fifth pick, we’re going to work them all out and if those guys are the best where we’re picking — obviously you factor your roster into it somewhat — but if one of these guys emerges as a clear best player at five, we’ll take him.”

• G Trey Burke, Michigan

• G Michael Carter-Williams, Syracuse

• G Shane Larkin, Miami

• G Korie Lucious, Iowa State

• G CJ McCollum, Lehigh

June 5, 2013

“This was a really talented group,” GM Ryan McDonough said. “We had a bunch of guys in the gym who I think will end up in the lottery. We had good competition at different positions. It was impressive all the way around.”

June 3, 2013

“I thought Vander Blue from Marquette, his athleticism stood out,” Suns general manager Ryan McDonough said. “Kenny Kadji shot the ball well. We had Scott Wood from NC State, is one of the better shooters in the country. Ryan Evans from Wisconsin is a versatile inside-outside player. He’s strong.

“It was a good group of guys who bring different skill sets.”
