GLENDALE, Ariz. — Larry Foote arrived in the desert without much in the way of fanfare.

A veteran of 12 NFL seasons, 11 of which were spent with the Pittsburgh Steelers, some were wary of the team adding another veteran cast away from one of the most respected franchises in the game, especially one who was limited to just one game and eight tackles last season due to to a ruptured biceps injury.

Foote equaled that total Monday night in his first game with the Cardinals, and his tipping of a Philip Rivers pass on fourth and two late in the fourth quarter preserved Arizona’s 18-17 victory.

“I was reading the quarterback’s eyes and just threw my hand up,” Foote told the Arizona Cardinals Radio Network after the game.
