For the second time in three weeks, D-backs outfielder A.J. Pollock earned NL Player of the Week honors.
During the week May 26-June 1, Pollock led MLB with a .522 batting average and also had eight extra-base hits. Additionally, he scored nine runs and stole two bases.
Pollock also won co-NL Player of the Week honors May 12-18, going 11-for-22 with two homers during that stretch.
Pollock’s incredible month of May makes his right hand fracture, which will cost him between six and eight weeks, all the more difficult for the D-backs to endure.
